10 days till christmas

Just a little something I have been working on. I think it would make a great card or even in a calendar. I gotta get this one printed for sure! Hopefully after the holidays I will get past this fear of failing and just open a etsy shop...baby steps.

I HEART FACES {Fix-it Friday} #80

Here is the original image taken by Jessica Paige.

And my edits.

For the first edit, I cropped the photo and ran lemon and honey action by Paint the Moon. Increased the contrast and sharpened. For the second edit I added a haze action from Isabelle Lafrance Easy-As-1-2-3. On the next image I converted the second image into grayscale and duplicated a soft layer to give it more contrast. For the last image I opened up my first image and applied a texture from Sarah Gardner.

Tis the Season

Yummy holiday bokeh! I love this time of year :)

Fix It Friday

Yah it's finally Friday! And also Fix-it Friday at I Heart Faces :)
Where you take a SOOC image and edit it to your liking.

This sweet photo was provided by Dana Suggs.

My edits:

I honestly don't remember the exact steps I did in the editing process. Lots of tweaking in photoshop CS3! In both edits I used a Lemon and Honey action by Paint the Moon and also two textures by Jessica Drossin. Thanks for stopping by!

gobble, gobble.

I know Thanksgiving is over, but I just had to share this :)

Lewes, Delaware

We had a great time last weekend down at the shore. I got some much needed down time and Jacob was even willing to model for me!!!

fall favorites

These are some shots I took weeks ago of my son at the park...I am sad to say it's been weeks since i've got my camera out. I hate when the time changes. I am all ready depressed. It's dark as soon as I get home from work :( Which leaves no time get outside and shoot.

fix-it friday

I love to edit images and this was so much fun!
The original can be found here

I imported the image in photoshop CS3. First I used the cloned tool to remove whatever it was to the right of the image.

Adjusted the Levels and used the "POP" & "HAZE" action from Isabelle Lafrance Easy-As-1-2-3 free action sets! Which I love and highly recommend.

I also sharpened it and used the dodge tool to highlight some areas.

My first blog post

Let's get this over with :) My name is Jenny and I am a aspiring photographer hoping to turn this hobby of mine into a full-time profession. I have the desire more than ever and thought this blog would be a great start! I have been obssessed with my dslr since mother’s day of 2006, taking lots of photos and learning how to shoot manually, and I finally I think I got the hang of it. Not to say I know it all. I still got A LOT to learn. So let the journey begin...
